BJP fields S Kumar from Peddapalli

Hyderabad: State BJP has issued B form to S Kumar as its nominee from the Peddapalli (SC) reserved parliamentary constituency on Monday morning.

It may be mentioned here the party had delayed issuance of B form, expecting TRS leader and former Congress MP G Vivekananda would join the party.

However, the discussions among the party representatives could not yield fruitful results as Vivekananda was not showing interest in contesting elections this time, citing, lack of enough time to gear up for electioneering.

Speaking to The Hans India, BJP sources said, it was only after Vivekananda informed that he would not contest the election, Kumar was asked to come to the BJP State headquarters and handed over B form.

Following this, Kumar rushed to Peddapalli and filed his nominations four hours ahead on the last day for the filing of nominations.
