BJP flag should fly in Sircilla municipality: Perala Shekhar Rao
Sirsilla: BJP national executive member Perala Shekhar Rao gave a call to the party leaders and activists to work hard for the party candidates to win the municipal elections and to hoist the party flag in Sircilla.
He participated in the membership registration programme in Sirsilla on Thursday and advised the activists on the strategy to follow in the upcoming municipal elections.
Shekhar said the BJP had won 3,000 votes more than the TRS in the Lok Sabha elections in Sirsilla town and the winning trend should be carried forward with the same spirit. Alleging that the TRS government did nothing for the handloom workers, Shekhar criticised that the TRS is cheating not only the powerloom and handloom workers but also the textile industry owners. Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao told BJP Ministers Smriti Irani and Nirmala Sitharaman that their government is providing 25 per cent subsidy to the owners of powerlooms and handlooms but in reality he (KCR) is not implementing it, he pointed out.
District Secretary General R Gopi and others participated in Sirsilla Basti Baata programme. They had had lunch at a poor handloom worker's house and started membership drive from there.
