The BJP was a political party with a national outlook. It has the responsibility to protect the integrity of the country, he said. Against this backdrop, party has worked on several parameters removing the perceptions and apprehensions of minorities. The party formed governments in Goa, North East.

Similarly, it had also brought back on board its allies like Shiv Sena, Akali Dal, Janata Dal (U), Asom Gana Sangram Parishad (AGP), besides forming alliances with AIDMK and other in Tamil Nadu. Thus, BJP is not only stronger on its own, but the NDA also remained a stronger political force than any other, including UPA in its reach and strength.

The party has retained its middle-class vote bank. It also ensured minimum support price for agriculture produce, input support of Rs 6,000 to the farmers. It also introduced pensions to the farmers and traders and income tax relaxation, a long-time demand from the middle-classes.

On top of it all, the welfare schemes covering a lot of ground addressing poverty, underprivileged sections etc., in the last five years had turned into a 'Modi Vote, ' he said.

Abrogation of Article 370 and 35A relating to the special provisions for Jammu and Kashmir, construction of Ram temple at Ayodhya, implementation of National Citizen's Registry across the country remains the ideological and political commitment of the party, he said.
