BJP leaders injured while burning effigy in Warangal

Two BJP leaders suffered burn injuries while burning chief minister K Chandrasekhar Rao's effigy in Hanamkonda in a protest against the rape of a nine-month-old baby.

The BJP leaders staged a protest at Ambedkar statue demanding action against the accused Praveen who raped and killed the nine-month-old baby. During the protest, the leaders burnt the effigy of KCR and suffered injuries.

Warangal urban district leader Padmareddy suffered burn injuries on her hand while another leader Srinivas caught on fire during the protest. However, the BJP leaders put out the fire and shifted the injured to MGM hospital.

The condition of Srinivas is stated to be critical.
