BJP membership drive is to strengthen democracy in Karimnagar
Karimnagar: Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) is conducting membership drive to strengthen democracy in the State and at the Centre with involving the people in various developmental activities, said Kotte Murali Krishna, BJP State executive member. He launched the membership registration programme in Kothapalli village in Karimnagar district on Monday.
Speaking on the occasion, K Murali Krishna said that the BJP with just 19 per cent polling percentage had won four Parliament seats in the recently held Lok Sabha elections. The increase of voting percentage to 19 is the clear indication that the saffron party is going to form government in 2024. With the target of joining as many as 20 lakh new members in the party, the membership programme is being conducted widely across the State. The people of all sections are eagerly waiting for the programme and are voluntarily taking membership of the BJP, he stated.
Murali Krishna appealed the party activists, along with conducting membership drive, to implement Swachh Bharat programme at every booth-level and to plant at least five saplings each to increase the green cover. They were also told to explain the people about the several welfare schemes that were introduced by the Central government for the wellbeing of all sections of people, he told. India under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi is going to emerge as a powerful economic country after America and China. Before BJP came to power, the economic status of India is 11th position among the world countries but under the leadership of Modi it occupied 6th position, he informed.
BJP leaders Kanche Shekar, M Ramana Reddy, G Ramulu, Amarendar Reddy, M Harish, Pradeep Kumar, Ramachandram, Prashanth and Srikanth were present along with others.
