BJP slams KCR for pushing State into debt trap

Update: 2019-12-10 01:14 IST

Hyderabad: Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) State unit president K Laxman on Monday slammed Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao for mounting public debts without any development.

He alleged that the chief minister has miserably failed to fulfil the promises made by him in the 2018 assembly elections.

Speaking to the media, the BJP leader also took strong exception to Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao's failure in implementing the farmers welfare schemes. "The State will develop only when the TRS government stops looting, corruption and partisan attitude," he added.

Instead of developing the surplus State, the chief minister has turned the new State of Telangana into a highly debt burdened State in just six years, Laxman charged.

Telangana is at 19th place to get funds from the Centre, he fumed.

The chief minister was making false comments on the Centre on devolution of funds. He alleged that the chief minister stooped to the low and making cheap comments against the Centre.
