BJP to launch campaign against criminalisation of Telangana
Hyderabad: State unit of the BJP has decided to intensify its campaign against political interference in administration as it leads to criminalisation of Telangana.
According to the party sources, the party intended to highlight the attack on woman Forest Range officer to showcase how the elected representatives of the ruling party had been targeting the voice of dissent.
BJP national secretary P Muralidhar Rao alleged, "Emboldened TRS leaders are behaving like street rowdies." Referring to the attack on the Forest officials at Saarsal village in Komaram Bheem Asifnagar district on Sunday, he said, carrying out an attack on the officials in the uniform reflected the arrogance of the TRS leaders and turning the Telangana a home for atrocities," he added.
Taking that the incident had come as a prize catch for the party to take on the ruling party, a senior leader said, "The party would chalk out an action plan to educate people on the issue," he added.
State BJP president K Laxman and other senior party leaders were camping at Delhi for the last couple of days for deliberations with the national leadership on the issue of political strategies of the party to strength the BJP to face the ensuing municipal elections.
After the party leaders return to Hyderabad, they will be discussing the issue and how to take it to people, he added.
