Khammam: All India Congress Committee secretary Saleem Ahmed alleged that Prime Minister Narendra Modi, who has come to power on the poll plank of bringing out the black money and eradication of unemployment, has not kept his promises and cheated people in the last five years.

He added that the people, especially youth were livid with Modi's rules and came to the conclusion to not to vote for the saffron party in the upcoming general elections.

"The people of the nation have confidence in the leadership of Rahul Gandhi and UPA will form the next government," Saleem said, alleging that both the State and the Central governments have copied the past schemes introduced by the Congress government and publicised hem as their own ideas with new names.

"The BJP and the TRS are the two faces of the same coin. Both have been telling lies and giving false promises to people," said the AICC secretary.

He appealed to the youngsters, farmers and women to strengthen and support the Congress party.

Saleem Ahmed expressed his hope that Congress would win more than eight MP seats in Telangana. He added that an internal survey report concluded that Renuka Chowdhury would win with a huge majority in Khammam Parliament constituency.

District Congress Committee president Puvvallla Durgaprasad, district leaders Chotebaba, Tazuddin Baba and others participated in the meeting.
