CPI National Council member Takkallapally Srinivas Rao addressing the party cadres at Kazipet on Monday

Warangal: Both the TRS and the BJP didn't have commitment to establish a railway coach factory in Kazipet, CPI National Council member Takkallapally Srinivas Rao said. Addressing the party cadres at Kazipet on Monday, he criticised the BJP-led Centre and the TRS government for ignoring the decades old demand for the coach factory in Kazipet.

"The State claims that it has acquired land for the coach factory, but the Centre was not ready to release funds," Rao said, accusing both the governments for not coming clean on the issue. It's a drama enacted by the BJP and the TRS, he added. He said that successive governments failed to fulfill the age-old demand for the coach factory in Kazipet.

On the other hand, the Centre is yet to fulfill its assurances given to Telangana under AP Reorganisation Act-2014, he said, referring to the steel plant in Bayyaram, tribal university in Mulugu etc. Rao found fault with the TRS government for not exerting pressure on the Centre for the fulfillment of assurances. He also criticised the TRS government for its failure to create employment opportunities in the State.

He demanded the government to provide double bedroom houses to the poor. Both the Centre and the State made life miserable for the poor by implementing corporate and capitalist-friendly policies, he said, referring to the skyrocketing prices of petroleum products that have a spiraled effect on the prices of essential commodities. Rao urged the people to notice the anti-poor policies of the Centre and State and teach them a lesson.

The meeting was presided over by Bottu Bikshapathi in which senior leaders Mekala Ravi, Nedunuri Jyothi, Karre Bikshapathi, Thota Bikshapathi, Maddela Yellesh and Munigala Bikshapathi were among others present. During the meeting, Munigala Bikshapathi has been elected as CPI Kazipet mandal secretary.
