BJP yet to announce candidate for Peddapalli seat

Hyderabad: Suspense is continuing over the BJP nominee for the Peddapalli reserved constituency as TRS leader and former MP G Vivekanand is likely to join the saffron party.

According to the party sources, all the 16 nominees of the party were issued B forms by Sunday afternoon. However, till late in the evening there is no word from the party high command to the State leadership on the issuing B form to anyone.

Speaking to The Hans India, a senior party leader said deliberations were continuing and clear picture may emerge by late in the night or Monday. Monday is the last date for filing nominations.

Meanwhile, the party leadership decided to step up its campaign by organising public meetings in all Lok Sabha constituencies. Union Ministers are invited to address the election meetings.

As part of the campaigning, the party sources said the schedule of Prime Minister Narendra Modi was confirmed and he would addres two public meetings, one at Mahbubnagar on March 29 and another in Hyderabad on April1, the sources said.

Unlike in the State Assembly elections, this time the party is mainly marshalling all resources to campaign in Secundrabad, Malkajgiri, Mahbubnagar, Karimangar, Adilabad and Warangal LS seats which the party is considering as its bright spots.

Meanwhile the Modi Army and Pro-Namo, the two non-party initiatives will also step up their campaign with the slogan 'Namo Again', 'Phir Ek Bar Modi Sarkar' and 'Chowkidar'.

Accordingly, the two organisations mainly comprising students, IT professionals, lawyers, chartered accountants, company secretaries, doctors will be taking up awareness campaigns in twin cities.
