Bold, historic decision: MP Dharmapuri Arvind

Nizamabad: MP Dharmapuri Arvind called the Centre's decision to abrogate Article 370 as "bold and historic decision towards National Integration". He distributed sweets in Delhi on Monday on this occasion.

The Centre has removed Article 370 of the Constitution, which grants special status to Jammu and Kashmir. Home Minister Amit Shah said that President Ram Nath Kovind had signed an order that would come into force 'at once'. The Home Minister also said that the State will be bifurcated into two union territories, Jammu and Kashmir, and Ladakh.

Arvind said that the decision marks a new milestone in the country's politics with the BJP-led government breaking new grounds on the issues that have been virtually untouched for more than 70 years.

He praised Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Home Minister Amit Shah for taking the historic decision.
