Bonams offered to goddesses

Zaheerabad: Bonalu festivities celebrated on a grand note here at Gurjavada village on Monday. Women took out traditional procession to the temples of Pochama, Mysamma, Durga Bahavani to offer bonams.

Feats of Potharaju, dances of Shivasattulu were the main attractions of the festivities. Devotees in a huge number participated in the programme despite continuous drizzling. They offered 'Nyvedyams' to the Goddesses and redeemed their vows. They prayed for bountiful of rains to ward off drought.
