Book fairs being organised in 100 schools in Suryapet district in Suryapet

Suryapet: Minister for Education G Jagadish Reddy on Monday said that education is powerful tool which can change the society. He advised students and people to buy books to improve their knowledge in their field of interest.

The Education Minister along with ZP chairman Gujja Deepika and District Collector Amoy Kumar participated in the inaugural programme of the Book Fair organied by the District Education department and Hyderabad Book Fair at the Government Primary School for Boys in Suryapet town.

He advised parents to develop social service attitude besides creating awareness on traditions and cultures among the children.

He said the government has been providing quality education to poor students on par with corporate schools by establishing Gurukul schools in the state and at the same time providing hygienic food.

The Minister informed that costly books for book fairs were purchased from funds of Hyderabad Book Fair and the District Collector funds.

State BC Commission member Gowri Shankar, district library chairman Srinivas Goud , ZP vice chairman Venkatnaryana Goud, RDO Mohan Rao, ZP CEO Vijayalaxmi, DEO Madan Mohan, students and teachers of various schools participated in the programme.
