Booty worth Rs 12 lakh stolen from a house in Hyderabad

The thieves allegedly made away with Rs 12 lakh worth booty from a retired employee's house here at Rajendra Nagar on Monday night.

According to the police, the employee Satyanarayana along with his wife slept on the terrace to beat the heat when the thieves sneaked into the house by breaking locks. On learning the theft, Satyanarayana approached the police alleging that 26 tolas of gold, 70 tolas of silver and 75,000 cash was stolen from the house.

Based on the complaint lodged against the theft, the police registered a case and launched a hunt to the nab burglars.
