Buildings at IT hub in Hyderabad fined of Rs 10 lakh for littering roads

The buildings at the IT hub in the city have been fined a total of Rs 10 lakh for littering roads by the GHMC within two days.

The DLF cybercity among 52 establishments was also fined Rs 50,000. The GHMC officials inspected the areas at Durgam Cheruvu, Biodiversity Road, Madhura Nagar, Pragati Nagar and Patrika Nagar.

Divyasree NSL Orion was also asked to pay Rs 1 lakh for draining out water on the road damaging the Biodiversity Road. "The roads are being laid with taxpayers money and they are getting damaged due to the unhealthy practices," said a GHMC official.

"It is not the corporate companies to be blamed but the facility manager who maintains the buildings should follow the GHMC rules," said the official.
