Burglars decamp with gold, valuables from coronavirus-hit family in Hyderabad

When all the people from a family are admitted into Gandhi Hospital after coronavirus infection, burglars broke in the house in Alwal and decamped with gold, cash, gadgets, expensive watches and laptops.

Getting into details, a man from Alwal who was infected with coronavirus was shifted to Gandhi Hospital on May 12. His wife and children were also admitted to the hospital after being tested positive. In the absence of the family members, the burglars broke into the house and made away with gold, cash and other valuables.

The incident came to light when the man's wife and children were first discharged from the hospital and went home. They noticed the bedroom door was open and the almirah inside the room as well. All the jewellery, cash, gadgets and other valuables were missing.

A few days after the man was also discharged from the hospital and learned about the theft. He approached the Alwal police who registered a case and launched a probe.
