Case booked against ex-IAS officers
Hyderabad: Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Y S Jagan Mohan Reddy's earlier disproportionate assets cases are still haunting the retired IAS officers and disturbing the relief life of them even today.
On October 28, a fresh case is booked against retired IAS officer CVSK Sarma for claiming fake bills towards legal aid in Jagan's CBI cases.
The case is booked in the Saifabad police station in Hyderabad following an order from the court, based on a petition from A V Ramana (57), general secretary, Janata Dal (United), a resident of Miyapur.
The petitioner complained that CVSK Sarma withdrew Rs 7.56 lakh by submitting fake bills to the government in 2014.
He also stated that the then Chief Secretary P K Mohanty sanctioned the amount by issuing Government Order (GO) and approved the bills and the then Special Secretary to CMO, P V Ramesh was also released the funds immediately and cooperated to CVSK Sarma without crosschecking.
During that time, the then government provided legal aid to nearly seven IAS officers, who were faced allegation in Jagan's corruption cases that were before the CBI court.
Based on the court order, the Saifabad police registered a case on former IAS officers CVSK Sarma, P K Mohanty and P V Ramesh under various sections and took up investigation.
The latest case on the retired IAS officials has created a sensation in the bureaucrat circles and political leaders.
