Cattle trader brutally murdered in Suryapet

Nagaram (Suryapet): A cattle trader was brutally murdered in Phanigiri village of Nagaram mandal in Suryapet district on Sunday night. The deceased was identified as Yakaiah of Jalalpuram of Tirumalagiri mandal in the district.

It is suspected that Yakaiah was hit with boulders and later was stabbed to death. The parents of the deceased, meanwhile, alleged that quarrels with others in the business had led to their son's murder.

According to sources, Kommu Yakaiah was staying in Hyderabad and carrying out cattle business for his livelihood. He has two wives and six children. Yakaiah along with his second wife and her family members attended a wedding on October 20 and was murdered on the same night after leaving his wife and her parents at their residence in Phanigiri.

Deceased Yakaiah's mother Somalaxmi, in her complaint to police, alleged that Yakaiah's partners in business Maragandla Suresh and Kommu Chintaiah had took up an argument at the wedding and came to Phanigiri in Yakaiah's car and murdered her son brutally with knives and boulders after taking him outside from his father-in-laws house.

Local police informed that accused were at large and they would soon trace them and arrest.
