Celebrate Ganesh, Moharram festivals with communal harmony in Mancherial
Mancherial: Deputy Commissioner of Police Rakshitha K Murthy urged the people to celebrate Ganesh and Moharram festivals in peaceful manner, He was addressing a Peace Committee meeting held at M-conventional functional hall in Mancherial district on Monday.
Speaking on the occasion, DCP said district police have tightened the security to prevent any untoward incident and for the smooth conduct of festivals.
Speaking to the Ganesh Ustava Samithi and Ganesh Pandal organisers and Muslims she said Municipal, Electricity, Fisheries and Irrigation departments are working in coordination.
She wanted the people to celebrate Ganesh, Navratri and Moharram celebrations in a healthy atmosphere. Strict actions would be taken on those who use DJ sound system and making noise in drunken state, she warned. She also said Ganesh pandal organizers should use good condition vehicles in the Ganesh immersion procession.
At Godavari river bank, medical camps, barricades and stoppers, cranes, and drinking waters facilities, lighting will be provided at the immersion venue.
ACP Ghouse Baba, CIY Krishna Kumar, SI Maruthi, Omkar Yadav, Chandrashekar, peace committee members, Ganesh pandal organisers and others were present.
