Celebrations erupt in Palamuru as CM K Chandrashekar Rao inaugurates Kaleshwaram project
Mahbubnagar: The leaders and cadre of Telangana Rashtra Samithi from erstwhile Mahbubnagar celebrated the inauguration of Kaleshwaram Lift Irrigation Project by Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao at Medigadda in Jayashankar-Bhupalpally district on Friday.
Marking the grand fete, the TRS cadres in Nagarkurnool, Wanaparthy, Gadwal, Mahbubngar and Narayanpet districts organised 'Palabhisekham' to KCR's portrait and chanted slogans praising the Chief Minister for achieving the construction of world's largest lift irrigation project on Godavari river in just a span of two years.
In Wanaparthy, the TRS cadres under the leadership of Wanaparthy MLA and Agriculture Minister Singireddy Niranjan Reddy took part in the celebrations and burst firecrackers to mark the celebrations.
"The Chief Minister has created history, not just by achieving the Statehood for Telangana, but also by bringing the Kaleshwaram project into reality in a span of two years. The project is one of the dreams cherished for the people of Telangana," said Singireddy Niranjan Reddy.
In Narayanpet, the TRS cadres after bathing the portrait of KCR in milk, fired crackers and marked the grand celebrations. Speaking on the occasion, District Collector S Venkat Rao said, "It is a grand project completed in record time. It has broken all the records of irrigation projects in the world as such a gigantic project is built in just two years period."
