Celebrations mark Telangana formation day across state

Telangana Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao paid the tributes to the martyrs at Gun Park and then hoisted the national flag at Pragati Bhavan.

In the view of coronavirus pandemic, the 6th Telangana formation day was celebrated across in the state in the presence of few people following coronavirus norms.

Telangana Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao paid the tributes to the martyrs at Gun Park marking the sixth formation day of Telangana.

Speaker Pocharam Srinivas Reddy and legislative council chairman Gutta Sukender Reddy paid tributes to the Mahatma Gandhi and Ambedkar statues at the legislative assembly and hoisted the national flag. After the flag hoisting, Pocharam said that KCR has fulfilled the dreams of Telangana people by achieving the separate state. He said that he will strive for the development of the state. MP Kotha Prabhakar Reddy, MLCs and other officials were present.

Meanwhile, president Ramnath Kovind extended greetings to the Telangana people on the state formation day. He wished that the state would have a prosperous future and head in the development path. "The culture, traditions and literature make India proud. The services of Telangana people rendered to the country are remarkable," he said.
