Cement Corporation of India throws out 170 workers on road

Tandur: Some of the workers of Cement Corporation of India at Karankote staged a protest in front of the factory on Thursday. They alleged that 170 workers were removed suddenly without any reason.

''We have been working in the packaging section for almost 10 years, and when we came for duty, the management without giving a prior notice said our employment was terminated,'' they said. The workers warned that they would continue their protest until all the workers are re-employed.
