Central Universities will give conditional admission to Telangana State students : TSCHE
Hyderabad: Telangana State Council of Higher Education (TSCHE) has allayed fears of students that they may not secure admissions into postgraduate courses in Central educational institutions and universities.
It may be mentioned here that the State universities are yet to declare results of the degree examinations. But the last date for seeking admission into the postgraduate courses at the University of Hyderabad (UoH) and several others was July 19.
This has caused panic among students from the State that they may not be able to secure admissions into the postgraduate courses in the Central Universities, Central Higher Educational Institutions, private and deemed universities.
Speaking to The Hans India, TSCHE Chairman Prof T Papi Reddy said the issue was taken up with the authorities of the Central University authorities.
Both, the UoH and Pondicherry university (a Central University ) have agreed to give conditional admissions to students. The students will be allowed to submit their degree certificates by August 31, he added.
Some others are providing conditional admissions allowing time to submit the degree qualifying certificates till the beginning of first semester examinations. Hence, students need not worry about it, he said.
Meanwhile, the Osmania University is all set to publish the degree examination results by July 22 or 23. According to the university authorities, this is the first batch of students who have given their examinations under the Choice Based Credit System (CBCS) in semester pattern.
The number of days for examinations had increased this time due to the increase in the number of papers. The degree examinations were completed on July 8, this year. Evaluation and processing of results had been completed and the results would be declared by July 22 or 23, they added.
When contacted Osmania University Vice-Chancellor Prof S Ramachandram said the university is going would declare degree results by Tuesday.
