Centre has zero tolerance towards terrorism: Kishan

Hyderabad: Central government has 'zero tolerance' towards terrorism under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, said G Kishan Reddy, Minister of State, Home Affairs, adding Union government taking all the measures to curb extremism in the nation.

He was speaking to the media after meeting the family members of G Krishna Prasad, an Additional Superintendent of Police (ASP), who was killed on November 29, 1992 in an encounter with ISI terrorists at Tolichowki in Hyderabad.

Kishan Reddy asserted that accused were jailed instead of hanging for their cruel and gruesome assassination of martyred police officer Krishna Prasad.

Krishna Prasad had gone to search a house following inputs about some terrorists were hiding in Tolichowki. When he knocked at the door, on spur of the moment terrorists fired at him with AK-47. Even after receiving bullets, Krishna Prasad opened fire from his service pistol.

The union minister stated that Prasad's widow G Janaki had raised her children Deepthi and Vivek as a single mother against all odds. While Deepthi is a Group 1 government employee in the State and Vivek is a businessman now, he mentioned.

Kishan Reddy also informed the media that he is going to attend an international conference on 'No Money for Terror' at Australia from November 6 to 8 along with the chiefs of RAW (Research and Analysis Wing), Intelligence Bureau, NIA (National Investigation Agency) and Secretary for Minister of External Affairs.
