Suryapet: TPCC president and Nalgonda MP N Uttam Kumar Reddy alleged that both BJP and TRS governments are playing with the farmers with mutual agreement under hidden agenda. He participated in the protest rally at Suryapet district headquarters on Monday, organised by District Congress Committee against the anti-farmer's laws.

Speaking on the occasion, Uttam Kumar demanded the Centre to withdraw farm laws unconditionally in the interest of the farmers across the country. He also demanded the TRS government to withdraw its decision to close procurement centres in villages. Otherwise, he warned that Congress will mount pressure on the State government through agitations to procure farm produce through procurement centers only. He also demanded Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao to fulfil his promises of waiving of crop loans and pay crop insurance immediately.

Later, along with local leaders he submitted a memorandum of demands to the Administrative Officer of the Collectorate.

Meanwhile, Congress leaders and cadre staged protests in Nalgonda and Yadadri-Bhongir districts under the leadership of DCC presidents Shankar Naik and Kumbam Anil Kumar respectively.
