Centre will ensure development of J&K, says Union Minister
Hyderabad: Union Minister of Petroleum and Natural Gas and Steel, Dharmendra Pradhan said the Centre under Prime Minister Narendra Modi will ensure the development of Jammu and Kashmir in the days to come.
The minister was here to address at the Jana Jagaran meeting organised to create awareness among people on 'One nation and One Constitution' in the aftermath of abrogation of Article 370.
Dharmendra Pradhan said Article 370 stood as an obstacle for the development of the Jammu and Kashmir.
"It turned out to be the mother of terrorism, deprived people of fundamental rights, opportunities of employment for the youth and equal rights for women," he added.
Terming the Nehru-Gandhi family in Delhi and Abdullah's and Mufti's families in J&K have made Article 370 a political weapon, the minister said and it has resulted in not only rampant corruption but also deprive people all kinds of welfare schemes being implemented in other parts of the country.
