Hyderabad: The striking TSRTC workers have given a call for 'Chalo Karimnagar' on Friday and asked the workers to attend the funeral of driver Babu, who died of heart stroke during Sakalajanula Samarabheri at Saroornagar on Wednesday.

The JAC leaders demanded that Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao take up talks with workers before the funeral of Babu. The RTC JAC convener E Ashwathama Reddy issued a statement asking the workers to call off their 'deekshas' and attend the funeral of N Babu in Karimnagar on Friday. The JAC leader urged the workers to attend in large numbers as a mark of protest on the death of Babu.

Another JAC leader and co-convener K Raji Reddy said that the Chief Minister should directly call the workers for talks before the funeral of driver N Babu.

He said that this decision was taken in the presence of local BJP MP Bandi Sanjay, MRPS leader Manda Krishna Madiga, Congress leader A Joji Reddy and others. As per the call given by the JAC, the RTC workers took up deekshas at bus depots in the State.

Meanwhile, the RTC JAC leaders met Jana Sena Party Chief Pawan Kalyan and sought his intervention in the RTC issues.

The Jana Sena Party chief said that he would seek an appointment of the Chief Minister before leaving for Vizag. "I will ask for appointment before leaving for Vizag on November 2.

If I get the appointment, I will bring to the notice of the Chief Minister about the demands of the workers and tell him that there was a need to create cordial atmosphere.

If I don't get the appointment, I will support the JAC leaders in their action plan because thousands of families are in pains," said Pawan Kalyan.

JAC1 would take up dharnas at Bus depots on November 1, there would be half-naked protest on November 2, processions on November 3, laying siege of political party leaders on November 4 and 5 and on November 7 they would take up yagam near bus depots.

The JAC leader K Hanumanthu said K Chandrashekar Rao knows the language of 'yagams.'
