Konda Vishweshwar Reddy has been arrested by the police in Vikarabad

Vikarabad: Congress party leader and Chevella MP Konda Vishweshwar Reddy has been arrested by the police in Vikarabad on Tuesday.

MP Vishweshwar Reddy is conducting deeksha over the injustice done to Ranga Reddy district. Even after the formation of Telangana state, still, the injustice is continuing to RR District.

In this five years of time, no new job opportunities were created and not even single acer land got irrigation water supply, MP said.

Konda Vishweshwar Reddy sat on deeksha demanding water release from Palamuru-Ranga Reddy, Pranahita Chevella projects, MMTS services, Satellite city to Vikarabad. On Tuesday the police have spoiled the deeksha of MP by arresting him.

The police said to Chevella MP that as the election code is active, and they are no permissions to conduct dharna. In spite of this MP continued his protest.

Along with MP Vishweshwar Reddy, the police have also arrested Congress leader Chandrashekhar Reddy, Prasad Kumar, Parigi ex-MLA Ram Mohan Reddy, Tandur MLA Pilot Rohit Reddy from the dharna place.

The tension prevailed in the area with the heated arguments between the Congress activists and the police.

In 2014 elections, Konda Vishweshwar Reddy has elected as Chevella MP from TRS party. With the disputes with the former minister Mahender Reddy, MP has resigned to pink party and joined Congress in 2018.

For the coming 2019 Lok Sabha elections in Telangana, Vishweshwar Reddy is going to contest as Congress MP candidate from Chevella parliament segment.
