Chief Secretary Somesh Kumar prods babus on SWM report

Hyderabad: State Chief Secretary Somesh Kumar on Monday directed the officials to prepare report on implementation of Solid Waste Management (SWM), bio-medical waste rules, polluted river stretches and district environment plans in accordance with the directions of the National Green Tribunal (NGT) by January 31 which is to be submitted to NGT.

Chief Secretary reviewed the various issues which would come up at the NGT with officials here, He directed the officials to incorporate the steps taken so far by the government and the progress achieved thus far in the report.

State Municipal Administration and Urban Development Secretary Arvind Kumar briefed about the steps being taken to implement timeline action plan as per the NGT guidelines.

Panchayat Raj Secretary Vikas Raj explained about the sanitation programme and steps being taken for waste collection in all panchayats.
