City CP warns against fake news posts on social media

Hyderabad: City Police Commissioner Anjani Kumar on Monday have warned of criminal action against the miscreants, who are spreading rumours on social media to instigate law and order problems in the city. The warning was in the background of a few persons spreading pictures and fake news on the situation in Kashmir.

The CP in his message said that the miscreants are using pictures and videos of incidents which are not related to our country. He clarified that the images are old and related to Iran and Afghanistan. City Commissioner appealed all the citizens not to forward any unverified posts on social media platforms.

He also urged citizens not to indulge in such activities of preplanned conspiracy due to which the people can be booked under criminal cases.
