Justice looses character if it turns to revenge: Chief Justice SA Bobde on Hyderabad Encounter

Supreme Court Chief Justice SA Bobde made sensational comments on the encounter of four accused in Disha's rape and murder case. He termed them to be fake encounters. Speaking at a conference in Jodhpur, Chief Justice Bobde said justice should not be revenge, which will eventually lead to the destruction of society and law.

Chief Justice attended the inauguration of the Rajasthan High Court building. Union Law Minister Ravi Shankar Prasad associated CJI at the event. Speaking at the event, minister Ravi Shankar Prasad urged the CJI to look into the rape cases. The Chief Justice of India said that there is a necessity for bringing a new law to prevail the justice rationally. "They have to adopt new technology and solve the problem through mediation, " CJI asserted.

Petitions have been filed in the Supreme Court and Telangana High Courts in protest of the encounter of Disha's accused. The petition request to file the FIR on Hyderabad police.

However, after the encounter of the veterinary doctor in Hyderabad, there was demand across the country that all the rape victims be encountered.
