Clarification given on utilisation of funds by TS released by Centre
Hyderabad: Rajya Sabha MP Dr K Laxman on Friday said that the Centre has released funds to Telangana under Pradhan Mantri Krishi Sanchai Yojana (PMKSY), Rashtriya Krishi Vikas Yojana.
The details were given in reply to the questions raised by Dr Laxman in Rajya Sabha. He said that the century under Accelerated Irrigation Benefit Programme (AIKB), Har Khetko Pani (HKKP) has allocated Rs 4,369 to the State since 2005-06. However, Rs 43.95 crore allocated for Chokka Rao Devadula Lift Irrigation Scheme was not utilised. Similarly, the State government did not use Rs 36.36 crore for common area development and water management, he said.
Similarly, Rs 104.56 crore was released under HKKP for reviving water tanks and the State government utilised the funds and also utilised Rs 27.60 crore released under the watershed development component.
Under per drop more crop (PDMC), the centre has given Rs 579.32 crore to the state since 2015.
Of the Rs.579.87 crore released under Rashtriya Krishi Sinchai Yojana (RKVY) from 2016-2020, the state government utilised only Rs 347.47 crore. Union Minister Narendra Singh Tomar has also clarified that the Centre has provided about Rs 1,135 crore under National Handicrafts Development Programme (NHDP) and Handicrafts Cluster Development Programme Scheme (CHCDS) through the tourism department. The state government utilised the funds released from 2017-18 to the current financial year.
