Chief Minister K.Chandrashekhar Rao on Thursday extended his Christmas greetings to the people in the State.

The CM said that everyone's would be filled with happiness if they follow the teachings of Jesus Christ of love, peace and compassion. He also said the teachings of Jesus Christ have influenced the world. He also appealed to the people to follow COVID-19 guidelines and celebrate the festival.

The Telangana government is implementing various welfare and development programs for the welfare of Christians. The government has allocated Rs 10 crore for the construction of a complex in two-acre in Kokapet on the city outskirts. Besides, the government also distribute gift packs along with saris and clothes to 2.4 lakh poor people every year during Christmas.

The state government also sanctioned Rs 32 crore to carry out the construction and repair of 400 churches and also extended l Rs 10 lakh financial help to hospitals being run under churches, Rs 5 lakh for old age homes and schools.
