CM KCR held review meeting on RTC, says no discussions with RTC Unions
The Telangana Govt headed by K Chandrasekhar Rao seems to have decided not to have any further talks with RTC unions. It is learned that the RTC would not receive a single rupee from the government. The government is set to file another affidavit on the RTC affair in the state high court on Monday (November 11). The affidavit seems to state that there is no further negotiation with RTC associations.
CM KCR on Saturday held a review meeting with the authorities on the subject of RTC. The hearing of the workers' strike is expected to continue in the High Court on Monday. In this backdrop, CM KCR officials discussed the issues that need to be reported to the High Court.
High Court remarks on privatization, Million March by RTC workers, payments to RTC, CM KCR were discussed in the meeting. The meeting was attended by Transport Minister Puvvada Ajay Kumar, RTC and Transport Ministry officials. There is a lot of arrears of Rs 47 crore in relation to RTC. It seems that the govt has decided that there is nothing to pay to company under any circumstances.
Trusted sources of information suggest that CM KCR may make more aggressive decisions in the case of RTC if the workers won't join the duties. The KCR cabinet has already decided to allow private route permits in 5,100 routes in the state. KCR has warned that private workers will not be hesitant to give up the remaining 5 thousand routes if workers do not perform their duties.
In this backdrop, it remains to be seen what decision would CM KCR decided on the issue of RTC.
