CM KCR orders release of 1 tmc feet water for SRSP ayacut farmers
Hyderabad: Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao has instructed the irrigation officials to release 1 tmc feet water from Yellampalli to Sri Ram Sagar Project (SRSP) flood flow canal utilising the SRSP revival scheme.
The MLAs belonging to Old Karimnagar district called on the Chief Minister at Pragathi Bhavan and brought to his notice about the problems being faced by ayacut farmers since there was not enough storage of water in SRSP.
Responding to this, the Chief Minister instructed the officials concerned to utilise the alternative means provided under the SRSP revival scheme.
The CM asked the officials to immediately release 1 tmc feet water from Yellampalli to flood flow canal via Nandi Medaram, Lakshmipuram, Rampur and Rajeshwarpet.
