CM's remarks insult to employees: Union leader
Hyderabad: Taken aback by the blunt statement of Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao that no one can save RTC, the employees' unions and political parties felt that KCR had insulted the striking employees.
JAC leader Aswathama Reddy said KCR had made fun of democracy and insulted the workers by his comments and if any worker resorts to any severe action, it would be the government that would be responsible for it.
He said he was shocked at the attitude of KCR. These very workers were good people and he hugged them during agitation and said would revive the corporation which was pushed into losses by the previous regimes. But now he was blaming the unions.
Reddy reminded that in Karimnagar meeting KCR had promised to merge RTC with the government and now he has conveniently forgotten about it. RTC is not KCR's personal property no one can close it, he added.
He said the unions were ready for talks. CM should behave like a fatherly figure and not like a dictator. He was threatening the employees and was even making fun of the courts saying even they cannot do anything, he said.
