Collapsed Musi Project gate to be replaced today
Kattepally(Nalgonda): Irrigation and project officials on Wednesday said that they are striving hard to address the issue of collapsed 5th crest gate of the Musi Project in Kattepally.
The project gate had collapsed couple of days ago and on the instructions of Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao, CMO official Smitha Sabharwal along with Minister Jagadish Reddy and Irrigation ENC Murlidhar inspected the project.
The Minister assured to address the issue of the gate at the earliest. Taking immediate steps, successfully brought spared stop log gates from Kalyani Dam of Tirupathi to Nalgonda on Dasara. So far, as many as 3.7 tmc water was flowed from the reservoir and only 0.7 tmc is left in the reservoir.
Musi Project DE Navikanth Sharma told The Hans India that they will fix the issue of collapse of crest gate of the project by Thursday evening in the interest of farmers. The reservoir will be filled with Krishna waters through SLBC canal, they added.
