Collector Anurag Jayanti reviews preps for mahashivratri fair
Sircilla: District Collector Anurag Jayanti has directed officials to make arrangements for the Mahashivratri fair to be held at Vemulawada Sri Rajarajeswara temple from February 17 -19th so that the devotees coming to the temple do not face any problems.
On Friday, he visited the Vemulawada temple pond along with the municipal and temple officials and inspected the arrangements being made on the occasion of the Mahashivratri fair at the field level.
First, the Collector inspected the temporary toilets being set up for the convenience of the devotees in the temple pond premises. The temple officials explained to the Collector that 50 toilets, 30 shower baths and 25 changing rooms are being set up. 'May I Help You' centers will be set up on February 7.
Later, the Collector inspected the Basti Dawakhana construction work being done on the ground floor of the Lakshmiganapati Complex. He said that for the convenience of the people of the town and the devotees who come to the temple, this Basti Dawakhana is being constructed at a cost of R 13 lakh and steps have to be taken to open them on Mahashivratri.
He also inspected Baddi Pochamma temple development and expansion works and directed the temple authorities to take up the construction of the compound wall.
Municipal Commissioner Anvesh, tahsildar Raju, Temple EE Rajesh, officers and others participated in the programme.
