Collector K Shashanka felicitates Padma Shri awardee Sribhashyam

Karimnagar: It is a great honour to have Vijayasarathi Sribhashyam, who rendered services in the field of literature, lauded District Collector K Shashanka.

It is to be noted here that Vijayasarathi Sribhashyam, who hails from Karimnagar district, was presented with the prestigious Padma Shri Award on Republic Day in the field of Literature and Education Category.

Collector K Shashanka felicitated Vijayasarathi Sribhashyam for getting Padma Shri Award, at Yagna Varaha Swamy Kshetram in Karimnagar on Thursday.

Speaking on the occasion, Shashanka said that Vijayasarathi, who has surname of Sribhashyam, contributed a lot for Sanskrit language and inspired many youths across the nation. The district became famous across the nation after Vijayasarathi Sribhashyam received Padma Shri award. This achievement is not possible without efforts as shown by Vijayasarathi Sribhashyam.

Police Commissioner VB Kamalasan Reddy said that the poems and novels written by Vijayasarathi Sribhashyam have not only created awareness on protection of nature but also inducted moral values among the youth. It is great honour to receive such an award and Vijayasarathi Sribhashyam is the right person to get Padma Shri award, he added.

Joint Collector Shyam Prasad Lal, SRR College Principal Rama Krishna, Karimnagar Municipal Commissioner Venu Gopal Reddy and others were present during felicitation ceremony.
