Bhadrachalam: District Collector observed the Ganesh idols immersion in Bhadrachalam at Godavari ghat on Thursday. The Collector along with Sub-Collector Bhavesh Mishra and Assistant Superintendent of Police Rajesh Chandra inspected the premises of the ghat and the arrangements made there.

Speaking to the media, the Collector informed that over 1,500 idols were being immersed since Tuesday. He inspected the health centre at Godavari ghat and ordered the medical staff to arrange a special ward in the hospital for devotees who fall sick after taking part in immersion procession.

Saini further added that the immersion was carried out in a peaceful manner in the river due to good inflows from upstream. He ordered the panchayat officer to keep the ghats clean and also set up more drinking water points near the immersion points. The Collector later discussed the traffic issues with ASP Rajesh Chandra.
