Collector, Poll Observer inspect strong rooms in Khammam
Khammam: As the Lok Sabha polls are fast approaching, the strong room to store the Electronic Voting Machines and where the counting will take place has been inspected by Election Returning Officer and District Collector RV Karnan along with General Observer GK Arun Sundhar Tyalan.
Vijaya Engineering College has been chosen to be the strong room and all the necessary arrangements are being made for the upcoming elections.
The information regarding all the strong rooms for the Seven Assembly segments and counting centres has been detailed to the General Observer by the District Collector. With the help of map outlining, counting halls for agents and the barricades separating them along with the observer chamber and various security measures taken have been explained to the General Observer.
The District Collector has ordered the relevant officials to make necessary arrangements. Joint Collector Anurag Jayanti, Zilla Parishad CEO Priyanka, District Revenue Officer R Shirisha, Survey and Land Records Assistant Director Ramu, Electricity Department Senior Engineer Ramesh, Wyra ACP Prasanna Kumar and others accompanied the officials.
