Collector Rajat Kumar Saini visits flood-affected areas in Bhadrachalam
Bhadrachalam: District Collector Rajat Kumar Saini visited the flood-affected colonies in the temple town on Sunday and interacted with the people residing in the said colonies. He observed the water level in Godavari and discusses the necessary measures to be taken with the irrigation officials.
Speaking to the media after his visit, Saini said due to heavy rains in the State and in neighbouring States, the flood waters have raised in temple town. However, they were receding slowly, he said, adding that second warning level was in force. He informed that a control room was arranged at the Sub-Collector's office in Bhadrachalam for monitoring the situation and also two big boats were arranged on the banks of the river to address any exigencies.
Saini also added that two flood shelters were being arranged at Bhadrachalam and the district administration has taken all precautions to address emergencies. Later, the Collector monitored the flood situation with all sectorial officers at the Bhadrachalam Sub-Collector's office. He ordered the agency mandal officials not leave their places without taking permissions. He also discussed the flood situation with Sub-Collector Bhavesh Mishra.
