Collector Sarfaraz Ahmed inaugurates Braille Smart Classes in a city in Karimnagar

Karimnagar: Teach the blind students so that they can utilize the Braille smart classes perfectly, said District Collector Sarfaraz Ahmed here on Friday.

The Collector inaugurated the Braille smart classes which are established in the Blind School in association with Varadhi Society at Rakurthinagar of Karimnagar.

Addressing on the occasion, the Collector said that about 20 devices that are brought from the Bangalore will be highly useful for blind students for writing, reading and listening. The teachers must learn how to handle the devices first so that they can teach the students perfectly, he suggested.

The Collector said that the devices are named Annie Devices on the name of a teacher Anna Lisa who taught a blind girl Helen Killer. In one device there are about 300 lessons and will be helpful for students studying from 1 class to VI class.

The principal of the school urged Collector Sarfaraz Ahmed to fill the English, Maths, and Hindi teacher posts that are lying vacant in the school which is running the classes from class 1 to class 10.

The Collector responded positively and assured that he would sanction the posts as early as possible.

School Principal Bhaskar, Braille Smart Classes Coordinator V Ramesh, members of Bangalore company which manufactured Annie Devices Avinash, Shivan Shithal and members of Varadahi Society G Anjaneyulu, Chary and Vishnu were present.
