Khammam Collector tours villages of Nelakondapally, Kusumanchi mandals

Khammam: Everyone in villages should participate in the programme conducted as part of 30-day action plan, said District Collector RV Karnan. On Thursday, he visited villages in Nelakondapally and Kusumanchi mandals.

During his visit to Konaygudem and Pocharam villages in Kusumanchi mandal, the Collector interacted with villagers and inspected the developmental works taken up there. He examined sanitation, drainages, roads, drinking water facilities, streetlights etc.

The official urged the villagers to participate in the ongoing programme of Haritha Haram and explained the need for planting more trees. The Collector ordered the panchayat officer to carryout mosquito fogging in the villages immediately and also conduct awareness programme on Poshan Abhiyan.

Zilla Parishad Chief Executive Officer Priyanka, Mandal Parishad Development Officers Ravi Kumar, Chandra Sekhar, Tahsildar Venkata Ramakrishna, Sarpanch P Pullamma, Sasikala, local representatives and others attended the programme.
