Complaints filed against national TV news anchor Amish Devgan

Hyderabad: Multiple police complaints were filed against the News 18 news anchor Amish Devgan for making derogatory remarks against Saint Khwaja Moinuddin Chishti.

The complainants alleged that the anchor made the disparaging remarks while his programme was being aired on News 18.

A group of religious scholars from Muttahida Majlis-e-Mashayeq also filed a complaint at Bahadurpura PS and alleged that the anchor had hurt the sentiments of Muslims by tarnishing the image of Khawaja Moinuddin Chishti who is popularly known as Khwaja Gareeb Nawaz.

Other complaints were filed at Rein Bazar PS, Kamatipura PS, Afzalgunj PS who requested the police to take stringent action against the anchor for disturbing the communal harmony of the country.

Khwaja Gareeb Nawaz was a Sufi saint and his dargah is at Ajmer which is a famous place in the entire world for people of all religions.
