Complete fertiliser factory renovation works by December in Peddapalli

Peddapalli: District Collector A Sri Devasena on Wednesday ordered the officials concerned to complete the construction works of Ramagundam fertilizer factory by the end of December under any circumstances.

She held a review meeting with the district officials to discuss the progress of construction works of the fertilizer factory in Ramagundam, taken up by the Central government, at her chamber in the Collectorate in Peddapalli.

Collector Devasena ordered the officials to complete the works as early as possible so that the factory can be inaugurated in 2020 by Prime Minister Narendra Modi.

Number of local people will get employment opportunities once the factory construction is completed and will come into use along with overcoming fertilises shortage in the State.

The government decided to renovate the factory with an investment of Rs 5254.8 crores. A pipeline was laid from Yellampalli to supply water for the factory and water will be supplied from tomorrow.

Both the State and Central governments are keen on completing the factory works, she added.

The officials explained the Collector that the pipeline laying works for a stretch of 365 km from Thadepalligudem to Ramagundam for supplying gas to the factory were in the final stage and will be completed very soon. The Central government already extended the time for about six months, keeping this in view the officials must speed up the works and must complete by the end of December without any delay, the Collector ordered the officials.

Chief Executive Officer of fertiliser factory Nirlang Singh, Chief Manager HR Somanath and officials were present along with others.
