Complete road laying works in colonies: Congress
Karimnagar: City Congress leader Kolipaka Sandeep on Friday alleged that the TRS government is behaving negligently in taking up road laying works in various colonies under Karimnagar Municipal Corporation limits.
Congress leaders staged dharna in protest against the government for not laying roads at Lakshminagar in the 21st division of Karimnagar city.
Addressing on the occasion, K Sandeep alleged that two years back the government had taken up the road construction works near KES Gardens in Lakshminagar with an investment of Rs.1.5 crores and laid the foundation stone also.
But to date the works are not completed. On a number of occasions, the Congress leaders along with locals had given representation to the concern officials but there is no response from them.
Not only in the Lakshminagar area, in many colonies the situation is the same, he added.
Only due to the negligence of the TRS leaders and officials concerned, many developmental works that are taken up left in pending, he added.
He demanded the government to complete all pending works, especially the road laying works as the people are facing lot of hardships to reach their offices and homes.
Congress leaders Anjan Kumar, Upppari Ravi, Tajuddin, K Thirupathi, Rehaman and residents of Lakshminagar Colony took part in dharna.
