Conduct elections perfectly,Collector tells polling staff
Peddapalli: District Collector and Election Returning Officer Devasena ordered the officials on poll duty to conduct the elections perfectly in Peddapalli Parliament constituency without giving any scope for mistakes.
She on Wednesday inspected EVMs distribution centre in the premises of Assistant Returning Office under Ramagundam Assembly segment in Peddapalli and gave suggestions to the officials.
The Collector ordered the polling staff to conduct mock polling and close the result clearly without fail. They were told to remove the batteries before the Election Commission officials seize the VVPATS after completion of polling process.
She appealed the voters to come with voting slip and photo identity card identified by Election Commission of India, otherwise they would not be allowed to cast their vote.
GPS was installed in the vehicles used for polling process and the movements of the vehicles will be tracked from time to time. 144 section is imposed and will continues till the polling process completes. Tight security arrangements were made all at polling stations.
Orders were issued to close liquor shops and this order will be implemented strictly until the polling process is completed. All necessary steps were taken to prevent illegal transportation of liquor and money by setting up check posts at various locations. District in-charge DRO K Narasimha Murthy, Ramagundam Municipal Commissioner Srinivas, District Education Officer Venkateswar Rao and District Assistant Officer Chandra Prakash Reddy were present along with others.
