Congress accuses TRS candidate of forging documents to grab land
Hyderabad: All India Congress Committee (AICC) spokesperson Dasoju Sravan has strongly condemned the State government for not taking action against TRS candidate Vemireddy Narasimha Reddy for his alleged involvement in forging land records in a bid to grab prime property worth Rs. 1600 crore at Banjara Hills.
Addressing a press conference at Gandhi Bhavan here on Tuesday, Sravan alleged that Narasimha Reddy fabricated a bogus, non-existing survey No. 129/68 Paiki in the name of M/s Kaushik Co-op Building Society.
Based on the fabricated survey number, he had trespassed into and encroached on the survey numbers 129/51 and 129/52, situated on Road No, 2 at Banjara Hills in Hyderabad. It belonged to Abdul Basit and Abdul Rub.
Disclosing further details, Sravan said cases were filed against M/s Kaushik Co-op Building Society, represented by Vemireddy Narasimha Reddy in the Land Grabbing Court, City Civil Court.
Finally, the matter reached the Supreme Court and the judgment was delivered by the Supreme Court, stating that M/s Kaushik Co-op Building Society is the owner of land in the survey number 129/68 Paiki and not survey number 129/51 and 129/52 which had been revised and renumbered as 327.
The Congress leader said an application under the RTI Act was filed on the existence, location and extent of survey number 129/68 in Banjara Hills/Shaikpet Village and its revised corresponding survey number and the ownership details.
He said a reply had been received from the government under the RTI Act stating that as per the Revenue Records of Shaikpet Village the Survey number 129/68 Paiki was not existing and hence the information sought cannot be furnished.
Sravan said despite the fact that a major scam had been committed by Narasimha Reddy by tampering with government records to grab 16 acres of land worth around Rs 1,600 crore, no FIR was filed or criminal cases were booked against him.
He said TPCC president and Congress candidate N Uttam Kumar Reddy referred the matter to Chief Secretary S K Joshi on March 25. However, no action has been taken.
He demanded that cases be booked against Narasimha Reddy and all others involved in this alleged massive forgery.
