Hyderabad: Leaders of Congress Legislature Party in Assembly Mallu Bhatti Vikramarka on Friday criticised the government for ruining the education system in the State.

Addressing the media, along with MLA D Sridhar Babu, he said that the decision of the government to exempt junior colleges on having a playground would have far reaching effects on the students.

He said that the corporate junior college groups like Narayana and Chaitanya have been running branch colleges without permission. He said that out of the 350 junior colleges being owned by them, 250 did not have the permission.

He said that these colleges have been admitting the students into the colleges which did not have permission and playing with their lives. He said that as many as 40 branches of these colleges have been run in buildings which did not have permission in Ayyappa Society.

Vikramarka said that during the Telangana movement period Telangana Rashtra Samithi chief and present Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao has said that the Andhra corporate colleges have been engulfing the education system in Telangana and they should be chased away.

"The Narayana and Chaitanya have turned into a mafia in the State and took the administration in their grip. No action on officers who have committed irregularities in the Intermediate exams evaluation is a good example for this," he said.

The CLP leader said that few members of the Chief Minister's family have relations with these groups and have been helping them to act according to their whims and fancies. This system would devour entire education system in Telangana.

MLA D Sridhar Babu said that absence of playgrounds in the colleges would stop the personality development among the students. He said that playing games and sports would help for healthy growth.
